Airtel Raises 84-Day Truly Unlimited Plan to Rs 899 in May 2026

In May 2026, Airtel quietly revised the price of its Truly Unlimited 84-day prepaid plan from Rs 859 to Rs 899. The change took effect across all telecom circles on May 15, 2026. At the same time, Airtel discontinued the older Rs 799 77-day plan, which had a smaller validity window and slightly different OTT benefits.

The new Rs 899 plan keeps everything users already loved: truly unlimited high-speed data with a 300 GB commercial usage limit (FUP), unlimited 5G on supported handsets, free voice calls and 100 SMS per day, JioHotstar Mobile for 3 months, and Adobe Express Premium for 12 months. The only practical change is the Rs 40 increase per recharge cycle, which works out to about Rs 0.48 extra per day.

Existing users with an active Rs 859 recharge are not affected. The new pricing applies only to recharges done on or after May 15, 2026. Once your current plan expires, you will see the new Rs 899 option when you try to renew the same pack.

New users who want a long-validity unlimited plan from Airtel should now budget Rs 899 instead of Rs 859. If you do not need unlimited data, the Airtel Rs 979 plan offers 2 GB per day for the same 84 days along with SonyLIV and JioHotstar Mobile for an additional Rs 80. For users who prioritise the lowest cost per day on 84 days, Jio Rs 799 (1.5 GB per day, 5G, JioHotstar Mobile) is now a stronger value than Airtel Rs 899 unless you specifically need truly unlimited data.

Airtel last raised this plan from Rs 799 to Rs 859 in July 2024. The May 2026 hike is the second increase on the same SKU in less than two years, reflecting the broader trend of Indian telecom price normalisation since the 2023 tariff cycle.
